1. Adequate training and competency testing of personnel in the operation of plant and machinery
2. Adequate guards and safety mechanisms installed on plant and machinery
3. Testing and tagging of electrical equipment
4. Delineation of plant/pedestrian
5. Clear walkways and access to fire fighting equipment and emergency exits
6. HAZCHEM and flammable liquids safely stored
7. Enforcement of P.P.E when and where required
8. Relevant documentation, log books, procedures and policies established and displayed where necessary
9. Welding screens in place when and where required
10. Training and monitoring of safe manual handling
